The History
Since its launch in 2006, the Tour of Wessex has cemented its status as a legendary challenge of endurance, grit, and determination, attracting riders from across the globe. In 2024, the event took on a new format, evolving from its classic three-stage epic into a timed event on Saturday, with options to tackle 125km, 250km, or an epic 375km route. The adventure continues on Sunday with a more relaxed yet equally rewarding 110km Café Ride, offering participants the chance to enjoy breathtaking scenery and the camaraderie of fellow riders—a perfect way to round off an unforgettable weekend.

Set in Sherborne, the historic capital of Wessex and an ancient cathedral town, this event is a true cycling pilgrimage. The long course pushes riders to their limits, demanding everything they’ve got—and giving back an unmatched sense of achievement. For those chasing their own glory, the ultimate prize isn’t the FKT (Fastest Known Time) but the personal triumph of breaking barriers, setting new PBs, and redefining what’s possible.
